by Sentry
Search errors and traces, triage issues and debug failures in Sentry from a coding assistant.
Best for
Developers who debug production errors with an assistant and want it to pull the relevant issue, stack trace and trace data from Sentry.
Sentry points to its hosted server first; the local package takes a user auth token instead.
Tip
Sentry recommends scoping a connection to a single project when possible, which defaults the tools to it and hides discovery tools that are no longer needed.
https://mcp.sentry.dev/mcpnpm package · stdio@sentry/mcp-server@0.42.0
Sentry runs a hosted MCP server at mcp.sentry.dev/mcp, designed for coding agents that debug with a person in the loop. After an OAuth sign-in to your Sentry account, an assistant can search errors, traces and logs, analyze performance, triage issues and manage projects. A connection can be scoped to one organization or one project so tools default to it, which Sentry recommends when possible. For self-hosted Sentry, or clients that need a local process, the same project ships a stdio package, @sentry/mcp-server, which the README describes as a work in progress and which takes a user auth token. In that setup the natural-language search tools need an LLM provider.
The hosted server uses OAuth: the first connection starts a sign-in flow to your Sentry account. The stdio package takes a Sentry user auth token with the scopes the README lists.
Set these before the server starts.

Registry name io.github.getsentry/sentry-mcp. The registry only lets an organization's owners publish under its io.github.<org> namespace (registry authentication docs, read 2026-10-30). The repository is in the getsentry organization, its README describes "Sentry's MCP service", and the hosted service at mcp.sentry.dev is titled "Sentry MCP Server" (read 2026-10-31).
Listing on HistChat is not an endorsement or a security review. MCP servers can access data or perform actions, so review the source and permissions before connecting.
