Terms of Service

HistChat provides a browser extension and website for indexing and searching your conversation history from supported AI platforms (currently ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Grok), organizing conversations into folders, saving prompts, and exporting conversations as PDF, Markdown, or text. Paid plans add further capabilities, such as Cloud Sync of your folders, saved prompts, and folder assignments, and Preview & Edit before export.

Functionality may evolve over time as the product develops and supported platforms change.

You must provide accurate account information where an account is required, maintain control of your account, and use the service lawfully.

HistChat works with third-party AI platforms. Those platforms can change their APIs, user interfaces, access behavior, or availability in ways HistChat does not control, and support for a platform, or for a given feature on it, may be interrupted or stop working if it changes.

HistChat is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or xAI. You remain responsible for complying with the terms and policies of the third-party services you use with HistChat.

You agree not to use HistChat to:

• violate the law or third-party rights;
• access accounts or conversations that are not yours, or attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
• abuse, disrupt, or interfere with the service;
• attempt to bypass usage limits, entitlement checks, or paid-plan restrictions;
• introduce malicious code or use the service maliciously; or
• reverse engineer the service where that restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

You remain responsible for the conversations, prompts, exports, and other content you access, organize, or create through HistChat. HistChat does not claim ownership of your AI conversation content, and does not determine ownership rights in content generated or hosted by third-party AI platforms.

Conversation contents are stored locally on your device and are not synced to HistChat Cloud. If you use Cloud Sync on a paid plan, your saved prompts, folder names, and folder assignments are stored in your HistChat account, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the prompts and folder names you choose to store.

HistChat may offer Free, Pro, Lifetime, or other plan options. Free plans have usage and feature limits. Pro and Lifetime plans provide additional capabilities, such as Cloud Sync and Preview & Edit before export. Current plans, prices, and limits are described on our pricing page.

Pricing may change for future purchases. Existing entitlement treatment is subject to the plan purchased.

"Lifetime" means access to the applicable HistChat Pro features for as long as HistChat continues to offer and operate the applicable service. It does not guarantee that the service will exist indefinitely or include every future product or feature.

A Lifetime purchase is tied to the HistChat account that made it. Deleting that account ends its access, and we do not guarantee that Lifetime access can be moved or restored to another account.

Paid transactions are processed by a third-party payment provider (currently Dodo Payments). By selecting a paid plan, you authorize the applicable charges for the plan selected. Prices are shown at checkout.

Monthly and Annual plans are subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Lifetime is a one-time payment.

You can cancel a subscription to stop future renewal charges, using the Manage subscription option in the HistChat extension popup where it is available, or by contacting histchat@numerbyte.com. Cancelling does not by itself create a refund.

Monthly, Annual, and Lifetime purchases are eligible for a 100% refund when the request is submitted within 7 days of the original purchase date. After that, purchases are generally not refundable except where required by law. See our Refund Policy for details.

Features may change, and third-party platform changes may affect functionality. Temporary interruptions may occur, and HistChat does not provide an uptime guarantee.

The HistChat website, extension, software, design, and branding belong to HistChat or its operator, excluding user content and third-party trademarks, platforms, and services.

To the extent permitted by law, HistChat is provided on an "as available" basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HistChat and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.

You may stop using the service at any time. To request deletion of your account or data, contact histchat@numerbyte.com; see our Privacy Policy for how requests are handled. Access may be restricted for abuse or serious violation of these terms.
