Affiliate Terms

The HistChat affiliate program lets approved partners earn commission for referring new paying customers. Joining is currently by application; see the affiliate program page for how to apply.

Standard affiliates earn 20% commission on eligible purchases. Top-performing partners may qualify for a higher commission rate after review. A higher rate is not a standard or guaranteed term and is offered solely at our discretion.

Each approved affiliate is issued one unique HistChat discount code. A sale is attributed to you when a customer enters your code at checkout. We confirm the code used on a given purchase from Dodo Payments' (our payment processor) checkout and payment records, not from a referral link, cookie, or browser tracking of any kind.

Customers who use your unique discount code receive 10% off their first paid purchase.

Commission is calculated on the actual eligible amount the customer paid after the discount is applied, excluding tax, and excluding any amount later refunded or disputed.

For subscription purchases (Monthly or Annual Pro), you earn commission on every eligible subscription payment made by the referred customer for as long as they remain an active paying HistChat subscriber and the payment remains eligible under these terms, whether or not your discount code itself still applies to every one of those payments. Subscription commissions do not expire after a fixed number of months. For a Lifetime purchase, you earn one commission at the time of the eligible purchase, since there is no recurring payment to earn commission on afterward.

A commission moves through one of two paths:

• Pending → Approved → Paid, or
• Pending → Rejected.

A commission starts pending and becomes approved only after a 14-day validation period, and only if all of the following are true:

• the underlying payment was successful;
• the payment was not refunded;
• the payment was not disputed or charged back;
• the purchase was not a self-referral; and
• no fraud, abuse, or other violation of these terms occurred.

Only approved commissions count toward the payout threshold.

Payouts are issued monthly once your approved commission balance reaches the minimum payout amount of $50. Balances below the minimum carry forward to the next payout period. Payouts are currently sent via PayPal. Additional payout methods may be added in the future.

If a referred purchase is refunded, disputed, or charged back, the associated commission is not approved. If the commission has already been approved or paid, we may reverse it against a future payout.

To stay in good standing as an affiliate, you agree not to:

• refer yourself or your own accounts;
• send spam or unsolicited bulk messages to promote HistChat;
• make misleading claims about HistChat or the program;
• distribute your discount code through unauthorized coupon or deal sites without approval; or
• bid on HistChat branded terms in paid search.

We may suspend or terminate an affiliate account, and withhold or reverse commissions, for violating these rules.

We may update commission rates, payout terms, or these rules as the program evolves. Changes apply to purchases made after the change takes effect, subject to applicable law.
