Validation & payouts
How and when you get paid.
Commissions stay pending for 14 days while the payment clears the validation and refund period.
A commission becomes approved only after that period, and only if the payment succeeded, was not refunded, was not disputed or charged back, is not a self-referral, and otherwise satisfies the affiliate terms.
Approved commissions are included in monthly payouts once your approved balance reaches $50. Payouts are currently sent via PayPal. Additional payout methods may be added in the future.

FAQ
Affiliate questions, answered plainly.
How much commission do I earn?
Standard affiliates earn 20% commission on eligible purchases. Top-performing partners may qualify for a higher rate after review.
Does my audience receive a discount?
Yes. Anyone who uses your unique discount code at checkout gets 10% off their first paid purchase.
How is a sale attributed to me?
Each affiliate receives a unique HistChat discount code. Eligible purchases made with your code are attributed to your account.
Do I earn on renewals?
Yes, on subscriptions. You earn commission on every eligible subscription payment for as long as the referred customer remains an active paying subscriber. Lifetime purchases earn one commission at the time of the eligible purchase, since there are no renewals.
When does a commission become approved?
Commissions start pending and become approved after a 14-day validation period, as long as the payment is successful, not refunded, not disputed or charged back, and not a self-referral or other abuse.
How do I get paid?
Approved commissions are paid monthly via PayPal once your approved balance reaches $50. Additional payout methods may be added in the future.
What is the minimum payout?
$50. Only approved commissions count toward this threshold.
What happens if a customer requests a refund?
A refunded or disputed purchase is not commissionable. A pending commission tied to a refunded payment is rejected rather than approved.
Can I refer myself?
No. Self-referrals are not eligible for commission and are treated as a program violation.
Can larger creators receive custom rates?
Top-performing partners may qualify for higher commission rates after review. This is not a standard, publicly guaranteed rate.
